The Assumption bush school network in Madagascar

In Ejeda, in southwestern Madagascar, the Assumptionist community carries out the inspiring work of bush schools.
These schools are permanently built and usually consist of two buildings. The first is for the school, with two classrooms where the teacher can have some students work in one classroom while teaching the others in the other classroom. The second building is next to the school and serves as accommodation for the teacher.

The local Assumptionist community ensures that classes run smoothly and that the contract we have with the villages is respected.

This need is more than essential for the education of these children.

The latest construction project made possible by your donations

The village chief, his cheeks hollowed by deprivation, told me how much families rely on these schools to give their children a bright and hopeful future. That is why we are here, and there is no shortage of work to be done.
